Introduction

Why this Topic

I chose to do this topic because during growing up I learned next to nothing about Israel or the Israel Palestine Conflict. The summer before my Junior Year, I went to Israel and found out that I had a connection to the place. This compelled me to want to learn about Israel and the history of the Israel Palestine Conflict. Upon trying to do this I found that there are many sources that talk about this and many of which conflict each other. The main goal of this lesson is to teach student how to understand the biases that come from each source and how to analyze different sources and understand there biases.

  • Teach students to think critically about the Israeli- Palestinian Conflict

  • Teach students how to have productive discussions about Israel and Palestine

  • Students will be able to understand different perspectives surrounding the Israel- Palestine Conflict even if they don’t agree with them
